For the past few months, various music heavyweights have been announcing UK tours in quick succession; Beyoncé announced her ‘Mrs Carter Show’ world tour (my bank account suffered greatly),Katy Perry announced her ‘Prismatic’ tour, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake and Taylor Swift all followed suit. With Drake even announcing his short stint in the UK, it seems like everybody and their pet cat were joining the ranks one-by one.
So, shock, horror, it was only right that the one person left at this point, Lady Gaga herself, would be the next to reveal her much awaited return to UK shores, set to take place in October 2014. In a move that the singer’s ‘Little Monsters’ have been waiting for,” the “artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball” tour will see the star perform five exclusive dates across the country, with more set to be announced in the next few days.
The 27-year-old will kick off the tour in Birmingham on October 15th, followed by gigs in Dublin and Glasgow on October 17th and 19th, and Manchester on October 22nd, before finally bringing her UK leg to a close with what is sure to be a fabulous party at London’s 02 arena on October 23rd. Sounds arty alright…
Lady Gaga‘s one of those artists I can only take in small doses, in all honesty the occasional eccentricity is too much for me, but as someone who has seen hundreds of artists in concert, I’ve yet to see Gaga perform. I’d place bets on her outfit for the tour however, are we looking at a Mermaid? Frog? How about another raw beef dress like that infamous outfit from the MTV VMA’s 2010? I mean who really knows? I reckon a spaceship would be the most fitting. Rest assured Gaga will put on a show regardless, and just like the promotional poster says, it’ll be music, fashion, dance, party – For Gaga, I wouldn’t expect anything less.
The “artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball” tour is in support of the performers latest album, “ARTPOP” which hit number #1 in the UK late last year, boasting tracks such as the catchy “Applause” and “Do What U Want” featuring “I Believe I Can Fly” crooner R Kelly.
The full list of UK dates is as follows:

October 17th – Dublin, O2 Arena
October 19th – Glasgow, The SSE Hydro
October 21st – Manchester, Phones 4u Arena
